Photo Diary | Park City

Downtown Park City
We fell into vacation mode and obviously got behind on posting but here is a little recap of our trip last week in Park City, UT. One of the many great things about Park City is it's within 15 minutes of three resorts; Canyons, Deer Valley and Park City.

Deer Valley views, famous turkey chili, hot chocolate and oatmeal cookie
Monday we skied Deer Valley Resort. The views from Deer Valley were by far the best we saw all week. The resort is top notch when it comes to hospitality so we didn't complain too much about the single digit morning temperatures, but instead used it as a reason to make a few stops on the slopes for hot chocolate and a delicious gourmet lunch. The food was definitely the best of the three resorts. We're talking gourmet burgers, macaroni and cheese, salmon sandwiches and more on the lodge menu.

View on the drive to Sundance
The Sundance gift shop and The Foundry Grill
The Pond at Sundance
Tuesday we all piled in our rental car and took a road trip to Sundance Resort. It's a short 45 minute drive and we were happy we did it. We had an amazing lunch at the Foundry Grill and walked around the resort afterwards. We strolled through the gift shop and art studio and even purchased a few pieces of their recycled and hand blown glass. It was a great day and the perfect break for our sore legs.

Wednesday we went back to Canyons and were happy we did. It was our favorite skiing of the three resorts. It's a great resort for intermediate skiers like us, with an abundance of blue and double blue slopes. We also saw someone doing the Lookout zip line that's available at Canyon's resort; it spans over 2,000 feet and looks pretty fun!

Snowmobiling at Thousand Peaks Ranch
Thursday we went snowmobiling and saw some pretty incredible views. Not many pictures from this little adventure since we were going up to 50 mph for some of the trip, but driving through the birch trees in the snow to a peak of almost 10,000ft was truly amazing (and a little tricky at times).

Park City Resort
Park City Resort and High West Distillery and Saloon
Friday we ended our week with a day at Park City Resort.  We appreciated the warmer weather and skied right down into cute Park City for a few apres ski cocktails and snacks.  We ended the day at the High West Distillery & Saloon, the country's only ski in distillery.  We enjoyed yummy foundue and creative snacks such as bacon, bourbon, cashew and caramel popcorn.  It was the perfect end to a relaxing week.  Thank you to my parents' friends, the Bowmans, for letting us enjoy your beautiful home in Park City.  We loved our time in Utah!

  1. Absolutely love the turkey chili from deer valley! We stayed there last August and went hiking instead of skiing but it is such a beautiful place.
