Brand Love | LaRoque

While I was home over Thanksgiving, Heath, Mom, Virginia and I did a little browsing.  We aren't big Black Friday shoppers, but we did want to check out a few fun boutiques.  We stumbled on the boutique LaRoque on Devine Street in Columbia and fell in LOVE.  The owner and designer, AnnaBelle LaRoque seriously could not have been cuter or sweeter.  She and Heath know a bunch of people in common from college, and Heath had seen her beautiful designs before but it was all new to me.  AnnaBelle got her start designing fun, preppyish clothes for ladies, but she's just recently added children's clothes to her collection after having a baby girl.  (Heath tells me she got her start after making her own Carolina Cup dress and getting so many compliments.)  See more of her collection below....

Her children's line is bright and colorful and it all has a slightly vintage feel.  I love it all because it has a traditional feel (which is my favorite!) but it isn't overly formal like you often see with traditional clothes for kids.  She often sources vintage textiles or fun textiles like Liberty of London.  She has charming dresses, onesies, john-johns for boys, bloomers, cute pants, burp clothes, basically everything, and it's all handmade and looks very one of a kind.  I don't see the children's collection on line yet because she's just really getting started with kid's clothes, but guys I'm telling you they're adorable.  If you're on the lookout for something special, give her a call and she can help.  Charlotte folks, I'm going to have a trunk show sometime for her in the new year.  I promise you'll fall in love too!!
