What's On Your....Bathroom Vanity

We're kicking off a new series today along with a handful of fun bloggers called "What's On Your..."  We're going to continue this series monthly seeing little sneak peeks insides of everyone's home.  (Maybe I'm nosey, but I love getting little glimpses into people's personal space!)  First up for February is "What's On Your Bathroom Vanity."  I'm showing a few pics below of my bathroom "vanity."  Truthfully, both of my tiny bathrooms have small pedestal sinks.  They really don't have a vanity, so when J.D. and I first moved in, he switched out the hardware to what you see in the pics below and added that little glass shelf.  That little shelf is the closest thing I'll have to a bathroom vanity for years!



My little glass shelf vanity has a few of my favorite personal things.  A julep cup that my grandparents gifted to J.D. holds my makeup brushes, a candle, two favorite bath powders that have a special travel memory with Heath, and my (old favorite) perfume.  (I'm not as into my perfume these days.  I kinda like bath powder more lately.  It isn't as strong and it comes in handy when I take bird baths instead of full showers!)  I love my little pictures of young Virginia, and my shelf has my go-to Sunday night nail polishes and face-mask.  Above the shelf is a little art print from the Paris Print Shop.

Most of this stuff is used regularly, but the little gold vase with the (half dead) flower is just for looks!  Just added it to make the pictures look slightly better.  It doesn't usually live there! :)  I'm not really a product person and I use lots of drug store stuff, so I kind of like seeing my "fancy" stuff out in the open.

Thanks Sarah for organizing!  I can't wait to see everyone's.  This bathroom of mine is practically magazine worthy compared to my downstairs bath so I'm excited to hopefully get some ideas from everyone else. :)

    It's beautiful and has me thinking of adding one in our bathroom that has pedestal sinks - great idea!

    The shelf is such a genius idea! We have pedestal sinks in both of our other bathrooms, so storage is minimal. I might have to try this shelf idea! :)

    Thanks guys!! So glad this may be useful if you're looking for storage for a pedestal sink. It's not the most practical for tons of stuff, but it at least gives you a spot for your pretty things!! :)
