FEED Supper

I've been seeing a few things lately about Feed's newest fundraising project, FEED Supper, and I think it's a really amazing idea!  The idea is simple.  Invite friends to join around the supper table to enjoy a meal together and raise money for children and families around the world.  100 Layer Cake just featured this party highlighting the FEED Supper initiative, and this party is stunning.  So many pretty details.  Love the red goblets, the string lights, gold flatware, and the cursive name plates too.

From FEED, "FEED SUPPER: from 09/16 - 10/16, we are calling on our food community to come together and truly share a meal.  HOST A FEED SUPPER where each guest makes a donation to FEED to provide meals to people in need.  Through these gatherings for good, you can help us reach our goal by providing 1 MILLION MEALS BY WORLD FOOD DAY."

You can find more details and ideas on FEED Supper's website - it's simple, sign up to host, invite guests using Paperless Post, create a fundraising page, and ask your guests to make a donation of at least 10 meals.  $1.10 = 10 meals provided!

Their goal of October 16th is coming up (next week!) but it's not too late to invite guests for a last minute dinner.  The dinner doesn't have to be over the top like the party above.  I'm thinking a pot of chili and cornbread, and an invitation to our neighbors sounds more my speed right now.  It won't look anything like this party above, but it will still be a reason to get together with friends to raise money for really good cause.

p.s.  How beautiful would the table above be for a small Christmas dinner with friends?
