Happy Monday guys!  It was a good weekend - equal parts relaxing, fun and productive, and I'm looking forward to a good week too!  Friday night we stayed in, made a pizza, watched a Downton Abbey and didn't do much.  Saturday, my parents came up for a quick visit for lunch and later that day we waked to Bakersfield to meet Heath and Andy for a taco and margarita dinner.  (Fortunately they go along with our 5:30 dinners!)  We also got started on some plans for our bedroom renovation (more to come!) and spent the rest of Sunday cooking to get ahead for the week. The fridge is now stocked with spaghetti and meatballs, Giada's tomato soup and the Yellow Table's Lentil Soup!  I'm so excited that I don't have to cook all week!  (side note, I had garlic bread for the first time in probably 3 years with our spaghetti.  Why have I forgotten how insanely delicious it is??!!))

 

Other than joining us for tacos and margaritas, Heath and Andy spent some time experimenting with Andy's new smoker, and they picked out a beautiful new planter from my grandparents, a late Christmas present.  It's tricky picking out gifts for the home when you're a renter, but I think they'll love this piece forever!
